So, went back to Markree Castle again – this time the weather was great and the sun shone all day. So, I was able to get outside the castle and use it as a great background for the photographs.
The light streaming through the windows also helped to light up the chapel. The white chair covers helped too, as otherwise it can be a little dark. The ceremony was performed by the Sligo registrar, who travelled from Sligo town. Because of the civil marriage regulations, the (religious) stained-glass windows had to be covered by a curtain during the formal ceremony. However, once it was over, we were free to draw them again and reveal the lovely bright windows.
