I really enjoyed covering this intimate wedding at Finnstown House (now renamed Finnstown Castle Hotel) – it was quite different to the normal largish Irish wedding. This was a lovely short & sweet wedding ceremony which took place back in March – St. Patrick’s Day, in fact. Only the couple were present – and I actually acted as one of the witnesses – a first for me !
Kelli & Randy are both from Salt Lake City in the USA, and were treating this as an ‘elopement’. They planned to have a big party back home later on for family and friends. The ceremony was performed by a solemniser from the Spiritualist Union of Ireland. Originally, the plan was to have the ceremony outdoors, but the snow that morning prevented it. We held the ceremony indoors, and managed to take a few photos outdoors later when the snow temporarily cleared up. A lovely ceremony and couple.
