Claire & Fintan were recently married in Birr Church and the nearby historic Kinnitty Castle. It was on a lovely, typically Irish day – with sunny spells and (heavy !) scattered showers. The day started with hair & makeup in the O’Carroll Suite, which is very light and airy and was great for photos (even with overcast skies).

Bride & Bridesmaids

Everyone was ready in plenty of time, and we had time for a few photos with the bridesmaids (all sisters of the bride)

The flower girls were nieces of the groom, and took their job very seriously – with always smiling faces

Wedding car arrival dat Kinnitty Castle during a heavy shower

Just as the bride arrived at Kinnity, the heavens opened. By the time everyone was safely indoors, the rain had stopped – just typical !

Bridal-Portraits

The Drawing Room at Kinnitty provided a great indoor location with lavish furnishings and decorations. There was also a great floral display (mainly from the hotel, but with the addition of some bouquets)

Cars & Signs

I had a particular request to include the old family car “Nelly” in the photographs. It had been owned by all the bride’s sisters (the bridesmaids) at one stage or another – and had more than earned its keep by this stage. The reflection is of Kinnitty Castle in the headlamp of the wedding car (I make a minor guest appearance here)
