This August wedding took place in the picturesque setting of Mount Falcon, in Co. Mayo. I’d photographed a wedding there before, so knew it was a great location. Noelle & Brian now live in Australia, but returned to Ireland to have their wedding here. Both sides of the wedding party stayed in Mount Falcon the evening before the wedding – the bridal party in the main house, and the grooms side in the courtyard houses.
The ceremony took place a few miles away in the hilltop Callow Church. It’s a lovely country church, with an updated interior and a stunning Harry Clarke Studio stained-glass window. Following the ceremony, we went down to the lake in the grounds of Mount Falcon for some photos of the couple and the wedding party. I have to admit to a slight weakness for using reflection in my photos, and love the possibilities here.
Back in the house, the main reception room was beautifully setup for the meal later. I also particularly liked the ‘character’ cake toppers, complete with stubble ! I finished the photos with the dancing and a few quick portraits outside the house.
One of the younger guests was a little unhappy that she dropped her bubble-gun – awwwwwwwww
